Probably no SATA bug (retraction)
I originally said in this review that "this laptop's optical drive bay --- not the Blu-Ray drive shipped in it, but the bay --- is likely to fail (outside the warranty period) due to an Intel design flaw" (the infamous Sandy Bridge SATA problem).
Having investigated further, I now think I said that in haste, and retract it with apologies to those it may have...
