Review Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)

Loving this CPU from Intel, I Dropped into a Gigabyte z77-ud5 with CM Hyper212 evo, after installing drivers immediately went to 43x100mhx for 4.3ghz, no voltage change..hit 70c and I started to worry about the heat issues.

left prime 95 running 14hrs and now the Artic5 is almost cured, came home to find temps in the 45-50c range with ambient temperature 10f than in the morning. Now running 4.5ghz without any voltage change, stable and max in prime 95 has been 57c according to Real temp.

For some reason, the CPU just seems snappier than my 2600k rig, it is most probably the 16gb of Corsair 2133 ram and z77 versus, 4 gb of 1800 and z68 in other rig.

I only upgraded because this box was overdue, if I had a SB all ready, I would wait for the Haswell...it is a sideways upgrade if you go for the Ivy.

Great overclocker CPU but runs HOT.

If pre Sandy bridge great chip series, if you have the Sandy bridge, I would personally just wait for the haswell in 2013.......................
